WellBody-WellBeing was created by Rebecca Schauer RD, LD as a way to share her long-standing enthusiasm for nourishing plant foods and healthy living with others.
Rebecca specializes in creating dietary lifestyles that harness the power that plant foods possess. She also enjoys helping others to eat mindfully, live balanced, and make conscious food choices.
Rebecca is a registered and licensed dietitian, and has received wellness coach training through WellCoaches. She holds degrees in nutrition and biology from the University of Minnesota.
In the past Rebecca has worked in clinical and epidemiological nutrition research settings. She has provided nutrition writing and consulting services to General Mills and the National Cooperative Grocers Association. She has also worked extensively as a grammatical editor of food and nutrition research papers written by non-native English writers. Rebecca frequently contributes nutrition articles to the Mix, a bimonthly publication of the Twin Cities Natural Food Co-ops.

Registered dietitians (R.D.) are food and nutrition experts who translate the science of nutrition into practical solutions for healthy living. The expertise, training and credentials that back a registered dietitian are vital for promoting positive lifestyle choices.

When you need food and nutrition information based on fact or need to know how a healthy diet improves health and fights disease— an R.D is a reliable and qualified professionals in the field. Registered dietitians draw on their experience to develop a personalized nutrition plan for individuals of all ages. They are able to separate facts from fads and translate nutritional science into information you can use. An R.D. can put you on the path to lowering weight, eating healthfully and reducing your risk of chronic disease.
R.D. = Food and Nutrition Expert
Registered dietitians know the science of nutrition, and they know how to practically apply this information in peoples’ lives. R.D.s must attain degrees in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field from well-respected, accredited colleges and universities, and go on to complete a 900 hour internship to be eligible for their registration exam. After registration, R.D.s earn regular continuing education credits to maintain their registration status and state license requirements.
